Time è la quarta traccia del Lato A del leggendario album The Dark Side Of The Moon, il capolavoro dei Pink Floyd datato 1973. La canzone, l’unica dell’album alla cui stesura hanno collaborato tutti e quattro i membri del gruppo, riguarda come da titolo il tempo, riflettendo sul fatto che sembri passare sempre più velocemente man mano che si invecchia.
Curiosamente, tutti gli orologi che si sentono all’inizio di Time, accompagnati dai rulli di batteria di Nick Mason, furono registrati uno ad uno in un negozio di antiquariato.
Come da copione, anche l’assolo di chitarra di Time ha fatto scuola, considerato uno dei più belli di tutti i tempi.
