Brothers In Arms è un noto brano dei Dire Straits, inciso come ultima traccia sull’omonimo album del 1985. Diversamente dal solito, Mark Knopfler esegue questo pezzo con una Gibson Les Paul piuttosto che con la sua abituale Schecter stile-Stratocaster. Esistono due versioni incise di Brothers In Arms: quella dell’album dura 6 minuti e 55, mentre in una versione più corta (6:05) vengono accorciati gli assoli iniziale e finale. Quella che appare su The Very Best Of Dire Straits (1998) è un’ulteriore versione accorciata, della durata di 4 minuti e 55 secondi.
Infine, ne è stata incisa anche una live, con alla fine aggiunto un assolo in slide, lunga quasi 9 minuti.
