Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) è un singolo che nel 1983 proiettò gli Eurythmics verso il successo internazionale. Dette il nome all’album inciso dal duo britannico e fu riproposto anche nel 1991 in versione remix per promuovere il loro greatest hits, rientrando nuovamente in classifica.
Un successo di grande pubblico che non fu scalfito, come talvolta accade, dalle tematiche del testo, in quanto l’argomento trattato è il sesso sadomasochistico.
Nel 1996 Marilyn Manson ne ha incisa una cover di successo alla sua maniera (qui trovate la tablatura e gli accordi).
