Joe’s Garage è il brano che dà il titolo all’opera rock divisa in tre atti e incisa nel 1979 da Frank Zappa, immaginandosi un mondo in cui la musica diventi illegale; è il secondo dei quattro brani che costituiscono il primo atto. Il garage in questione è quello in cui un giovane (Joe) passa la maggior parte del tempo a suonare rumorosamente, calamitando le inimicizie del vicinato. Joe sarà allora convinto a cambiare stile di vita e ad avvicinarsi al modello cattolico, fidanzandosi con una giovane Mary, anch’ella cattolica e di buona famiglia; le cose peggioreranno quando Mary lo pianterà per darsi ella stessa ad una vita di eccessi tutta sesso, droga e rock’n'roll.
