Piece Of My Heart è una canzone originariamente incisa nel 1967 da Erma Franklin (la sorella maggiore di Artetha Franklin) ma riproposta in stile rock l’anno successivo da Janis Joplin ed il suo gruppo Big Brother And The Holding Company, la cui versione conobbe un successo planetario. Fu incisa nel loro album Cheap Thrills. Negli anni successivi la canzone è stata oggetto di molte altre cover, in particolare quella di Faith Hill (1993) o di Beverley Knight (2006), entrambe riscuotendo un discreto successo nella classifica americana.
