Cell Block Tango: Video

Cell Block Tango è un brano che fa parte dello spettacolo Chicago the Musical, scritto da John Kander per le musiche e Fred Ebb per i testi, nel 1975. Ennesimo capolavoro targato "Broadway", è ambientato nella città di Chicago nel cosiddetto "periodo d'oro del Jazz": gli anni Venti del Novecento, tra storie di corruzione e criminalità. La canzone è il quarto brano del primo atto e vede come interpreti un sestetto di donne detenute nella prigione della contea di Cook; nel testo spiegano, a turno, la loro motivazione.
