Don't Cry for Me Argentina è un brano celebre tratto dal musical Evita, capolavoro della musica pop nato dal genio di Tim Rice e Andrew Lloyd Webber nel 1978. Si tratta di uno spettacolo che si ispira alla vita di Evita Peròn, seconda moglie del presidente argentino Juan Domingo Perón. La canzone è la più conosciuta ed apprezzata dell'intero spettacolo e vede la protagonista affacciata al balcone della Casa Rosada, il giorno dell'elezione a presidente del marito. La prima interpretazione fu ad opera di Elaine Paige mentre la prima incisione è di Julie Covington.
