Blackbird è un brano che ha fatto la storia della canzone internazionale, incisa dai The Beatles nel loro album eponimo rinominato White album e pubblicato nel 1968. Decimo lavoro in studio per il quartetto di Liverpool, ha avuto una lavorazione difficoltosa a causa dei continui litigi in sala di registrazione. La canzone infatti è scritta, cantata e suonata solamente da Paul MacCartney; una dolce ballata folk dedicata a Martin Luther King... il merlo che canta nella notte!
