Canzone scritta nel 1956 da Jester Hairston, nacque per una festa di compleanno con il titolo "He Pone and Chocolate Tea"; con un nuovo testo, in seguito, diventava un pezzo natalizio ed il primo ad inciderlo fu Harry Belafonte. Dopo più di vent'anni arriva la cover della band caraibica, trasformando la canzone in una hit mondiale che solo nel UK vendette quasi due milioni di copie!
