Silver Stallion è un brano reinterpretato dai The Highwaymen, la cui versione è contenuta nell'album Highwayman 2 pubblicato nel 1990. Secondo lavoro in studio per i quattro musicisti country statunitensi, è la seconda tappa di un'avventura musicale che si sarebbe conclusa nel 1995 con l'album The Road Goes On Forever. La canzone risale al 1978 quando nasceva dalla penna del musicista Lee Clayton, pseudonimo di Billy Schatz, ma che all'epoca si rivelò un flop. La nuova versione le rende la dignità che si merita, buon divertimento!
