The Gambler: Chords

Chitarra solista: Impara a suonare gli Assoli di Chitarra
Intro: MIb7 LAb MIb7 LAb MIb On a warm summer's evening LAb MIb On a train bound for nowhere I met up with the gambler SIb We were both too tired to sleep MIb So we took turns a-starin' LAb MIb Out the window at the darkness LAb MIb The boredom overtook us SIb MIb And he began to speak He said, "Son, I've made a life LAb MIb Out of readin' people's faces LAb MIb Knowin' what the cards were SIb By the way they held their eyes MIb So if you don't mind my sayin' LAb MIb I can see you're out of aces LAb MIb For a taste of your whiskey SIb MIb I'll give you some advice" So I handed him my bottle LAb MIb And he drank down my last swallow Then he bummed a cigarette SIb And asked me for a light MIb And the night got deathly quiet LAb MIb And his face lost all expression LAb MIb Said, "If you're gonna play the game, boy SIb MIb You gotta learn to play it right MIb You've got to know when to hold 'em LAb MIb Know when to fold 'em LAb MIb Know when to walk away SIb And know when to run MIb You never count your money LAb MIb When you're sittin' at the table LAb MIb There'll be time enough for countin' SIb MIb When the dealin's done
MI Every gambler knows LA MI That the secret to survivin' Is knowin' what to throw away SI And knowin' what to keep MI 'Cause every hand's a winner LA MI And every hand's a loser LA MI And the best that you can hope for SI MI Is to die in your sleep" And when he'd finished speakin' LA MI He turned back toward the window Crushed out his cigarette SI Faded off to sleep MI And somewhere in the darkness LA MI The gambler he broke even LA MI But in his final words SI MI I found an ace that I could keep MI You've got to know when to hold 'em LA MI Know when to fold 'em LA MI Know when to walk away SI And know when to run MI You never count your money LA MI When you're sittin' at the table LA MI There'll be time enough for countin' SI MI When the dealin's done MI You've got to know when to hold 'em LA MI Know when to fold 'em LA MI Know when to walk away SI And know when to run MI You never count your money LA MI When you're sittin' at the table LA MI There'll be time enough for countin' SI MI When the dealin's done MI You've got to know when to hold 'em LA MI Know when to fold 'em LA MI Know when to walk away SI And know when to run MI You never count your money LA MI When you're sittin' at the table LA MI There'll be time enough for countin' SI MI When the dealin's done
