Crocodile Rock: Video

Crocodile Rock fu incisa e pubblicata nel 1972 da Elton John con il suo sesto album studio dal titolo Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player. Fu un grande successo internazionale, primeggiando nelle classifiche musicali più importanti del mondo tra cui anche gli Stati Uniti. Come per molti altri brani Rock and Roll degli anni '60, anche Crocodile Rock è una canzone dal testo autorefernziale, che cioè parla della canzone stessa. Gli fu fonte d'ispirazione il singolo di due anni prima degli australiani Daddy Cool, dal titolo "Eagle Rock" (e che sarebbe divenuto uno dei singoli australiani di maggior successo di tutto il decennio 1970-79).
