In the Ghetto è un brano interpretato dal grande Elvis Presley, pubblicato come singolo nel 1969. Canzone scritta lo stesso anno da Mac Davis, racconta la storia di un ragazzo di colore che vive nel ghetto di Chicago in una realtà fatta di criminalità e dura sopravvivenza, tanto da essere costretto a rubare. La sua sorte crudele si scambia con una nuova vita che sta per nascere. Una tra le poche canzoni a sfondo sociale del suo repertorio.
