Girl U Want è un brano composto e inciso dai Devo, contenuto nell'album Freedom of Choice pubblicato nel 1980. Terzo lavoro in studio per la band dell'Ohio, conferma in maniera definitiva la loro virata stilistica verso il synth-pop facendo diventare il sintetizzatore protagonista indiscusso degli arrangiamenti. La canzone porta le firme di Mark Mothersbaugh e Gerald V. Casale ed è il primo singolo estratto dal disco; brano d'apertura del lato A, prende spunto dalla celeberrima My Sharona che era uscita l'anno precedente.
