Hound Dog è un brano celebre grazie all'interpretazione di Elvis Presley che lo incise nel 1956. Canzone scritta da Jerry Leiber e Mike Stoller, fu interpretata in origine dalla cantante blues Willa Mae "Big Mama" Thornton, quattro anni prima di Elvis. Molte sono state le altre cover nel corso degli anni Cinquanta, ma quella del Re del Rock n' roll rimane la più conosciuta nel mondo; diventata uno dei capisaldi di questo genere musicale fatto di ritmo ed energia.
