The Foggy Dew è un brano del repertorio popolare irlandese e pezzo di repertorio di uno dei più grandi interpreti di questo genere musicale: Lúcás Ó Ceallaigh, meglio conosciuto come Luke Kelly. Canzone che risale al 1916, è opera del parroco irlandese Canon Charles O'Neill che prese ispirazione dalla cosiddetta Rivolta di Pasqua dello stesso anno; nel bel mezzo della Grande Guerra, i soldati irlandesi combattevano per l'Inghilterra ed il tentativo di O'Neill era di spronarli all'obiettivo dell'indipendenza!
